Glenman Corporation Ltd is a progressive Building Contractor operating in Ireland and the UK. We are currently seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team. Experience in the Construction Industry is essential for this role.


  • A Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Must have 7+ years’ experience in a quantity surveying senior role working for a main building contractor in Ireland or the UK
  • Commercially and contractually astute
  • Excellent knowledge of the various forms of contracts in both public and private sectors
  • Strong dispute resolution knowledge and experience
  • Highly driven individual with strong team management capability
  • Strong Client interaction skills
  • A key leader in promoting the development and growth of the company
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding negotiator

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Exclusively responsible for all of the company’s building contracts, reporting to the managing Director
  • Identifies and manages departmental support team requirements
  • Responsible for managing effective surveying department procedures and processes in accordance with company Quality Management System
  • Ensure all supply chain partners and subcontractors are engaged on the basis of thorough binding contracts
  • Conduct department staff appraisals
  • Identification, research and realisation of company expansion opportunities in conjunction with Head of Business Development and other heads of departments
  • Foster good relations with client, design team, project stakeholders and maintain effective communications.
  • Managing project claims in accordance with company procedures and best practice
  • Manage the preparation of monthly cost value reports prepared by project quantity surveyors
  • Liaison with other internal departments to ensure the highest quality assurances standards are adopted on projects
  • Rotationally chair internal management meetings
