Project Description:

Demolition & alterations to be carried out at Markievicz Park in two phases. The first phase ran for 12 weeks and entailed extending the existing covered stand to run the full length of the pitch. Phase 1 included partial demolition of the rear terrace in order to cut out of pockets to support the roof structure.  The second phase ran for 11 weeks and comprised of constructing tiered spectator terracing, toilet block including disabled WC, associated services and site works.

Works were carried out within a very tight site boundary with height restrictions due to the existing covered roof. In addition there were fixtures running concurrently with the development works.
