Senior Contracts Manager

Glenman Corporation Ltd is a progressive Civil Engineering and Building Contractor operating in Ireland and the UK. We are currently recruiting for the position of Contracts Manager in the Republic of Ireland. The successful candidate for this role must have a strong desire to lead with a very good knowledge of general construction, including rapid build both in concrete and timber frame structures.


  • A minimum 7+ years’ experience in construction on public works projects
  • A minimum 5 years in management
  • Must have a degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget & to specification
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EHS legislation & regulations
  • Self-motivated, hardworking & driven
  • Excellent negotiation skills essential
  • Ability to manage, motivate, supervise, evaluate, coach, train & develop team
  • Good contractual & commercial awareness
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors and inhouse staff
  • A key leader in the development and growth of the company
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional & efficient manner
  • Familiar with MS Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of MS Project, forms of Contract & Building Regulations

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the company’s quality standards and procedures and adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety
  • EHS Management
  • Site set up, appearance and management
  • Quality, Cost, Progress and Programme
  • Management of all resources – subcontractors, materials, staff
  • Relations with client, design team and others
  • Undertake regular formal inspections of sites and consultants work in accordance with company policy
  • Prepare progress reports and technical reports for clients and for internal use
